Please Welcome Danny Villalpando!

January 1, 2007 · Print This Article

It’s been a while but Brian’s back with a jam packed show.

We begin with an interrview with 14 year comedy vet and internationally tourning headliner Danny Villalpando. Danny sheds some light on the business end of stand-up, including cleaning up your act for the corporate world, bombing on a cruise ship, and the 1st installment of the new segment, “Hell Gigs”, that involves a warm beer and a pizza parlor.

The show wrraps up with a rant about people who have too much money and spotlighting a legend who never received the respect he deserved until it was too late.

What do you think about comedian Russell Peters?
He made the phrase, “Be a Man” a household name.
I saw him in person and boy is he very funny. He’s one of those comedians that initiates the audience, really interacts with them. I found out the hard way by sitting in the from row and having my name made fun of because the show was also in, yep you guessed it, San Francisco.

How do you feel about comedians that are one race, act like another race and make fun of that race?
Russell Peters (who is indian) make fun of chinese, speaking with accents and everything.

He’s Canadian too, so he must be fantastic. He’s on the Canadian Comedy Network all the time.

Got something to say?
