BTB Comedy Workshop

Please don’t be alarmed, my guest today is Australian.

Topics on the day include shitty Christmas gifts, why most comics do not need to concern themselves with agents or managers, would George Carlin be a star if he was just starting out in 2009, and is Jerry Seinfeld worth the price of admission.  Strippers can be so cruel.

Seinfeld tickets start at $48.00 and go up to $100.00. The wife hates him and the only other person I know wants to go wants to opt for the $100.00 ticket. Looks like I’m not going unless I land free tickets somehow.

Go on your own. it’s not like you chat during the show. $48 is a bargain to see him in my opinion. Does that included Ticketmaster’s ransom fee?

Really excited about the Tony project. It will be interesting to see it develop.

$48.00 is the base price, it’s probably $10.00-$12.00 more. I’m on the fence now as I’m in the middle of a move.

So, if next week is the comedy gift episode, allow me to recommend “Freak Wharf”, the new album from Paul F. Tompkins. Not only is it funny, but as a weird act of symbolism, the first time I ever listened to “Behind The Bricks” was when I was driving to the Lakeshore Theater (in Chicago) to see PFT record this album. Seriously. My wife says you can hear me laughing on the album.

It’s the circle, the circle of life.

Wait, is the next episode next week? Shoot… I listened to the whole podcast and didn’t pick up on that. Shows how attentive I am.

I am looking forward to the Tony Project. BTB helped me go thru my first open mike about 6 months ago. Good luck Tony , I am sure with Brians help you will have a great set.

I literally just got yelled at for throwing a bow and a christmas gift bag away. When did my life become a hacky stand up act?
